NYSERDA's Drive Clean Rebate Program

OVERVIEW

  • • Total rebate budget of $97 million
  • • Approximately $14 million remaining
  • • Online budget tracker
  • • Refer to the Drive Clean Rebate website for information
  • • Reference current Implementation Manualfor program rules/guidelines
  • • Eligible vehicle list available online
  • • Point-of-sale (POS) rebate initiative
  • • Reduces cost of purchasing or leasing eligible zero-or low-emission vehicles.
  • • For NYS residents, businesses and government entities
  • • Rebate is subject to sales tax
  • • No cap on rebates per customer
  • • Purchase or lease a newvehicle from a participating dealer
  • • Own or lease the vehicle for at least 36 months

Dealer Eligibility

  • • Registered with NYS DMV as new car dealership
  • • Offer one or more eligible vehicles for purchase or lease
  • • Enroll to become an authorized initiative dealership

  • • Reduce vehicle price by the full amount of the rebate at the point-of-sale
  • • Apply for the rebate online within 60 days of vehicle delivery to the customer

  • • Goal of installing more than 50,000 Level 2 ports by 2025
  • • $590M –Make-ready rebates to support light-duty EV infrastructure
