Join us this November in Orlando, FL for what will prove to be an educational yet exhilarating experience for the whole family!

STEVE HILL (VP of Commercial Growth Strategies and Operations at GM)

U.S. automaker General Motors has created a new organization within the company named "Commercial Growth Strategies and Operations". The new organization will oversee current cross-brand activities that strengthen GM's position in the commercial market. The newly formed group will explore future business opportunities that support GM's revenue growth commitments in the commercial segment.

GM has appointed Steve Hill to lead its new Commercial Growth Strategies and Operations organization. Hill has served as vice president of GM's Chevrolet brand since Nov 2019.

Steve joined the company in 1983 and worked in Cadillac sales before becoming director of sales promotion at Cadillac in 1993. Following assignments with Motors Holding, Hummer and retail planning, he became executive director of retail and customer relationship management marketing in 2006 and North America vice president of customer care in 2010, according to GM. Hill earned his bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University and a master’s at Wayne State University.


STEPHEN ROWLEY (President of Cox Automotive)

Stephen M. Rowley is President of Cox Automotive, a global automotive services and software company whose vision is to transform the way the world buys, sells, owns and uses cars. Rowley is responsible for a family of brands that together make car dealers more successful and car buyers more satisfied, including auto industry leaders such as Autotrader,, Dealertrack, Kelley Blue Book, Manheim, NextGear Capital, vAuto and Xtime.

Rowley previously served as the Executive Vice President of Cox Business. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction of the high-growth division that delivered more than $2 billion in annual revenue. He oversaw all sales, operations, product development and marketing for business customers, including wholesale services for telecom carriers. Prior to leading Cox Business, Rowley was the Vice President of sales and field operations for Cox Business’ western U.S. markets where he served as the chief liaison between corporate headquarters and the western markets with oversight on local strategic planning, sales performance, marketing, back office, customer installations and capital investment.



Michael Alford is president of Marine Chevrolet Cadillac in Jacksonville, N.C. He entered the car business in 1992 after a career in banking. He joined his father-in-law in the family business, working in all departments while attending the NADA Dealer Academy and purchased the dealership in 1997. In 2010 he was appointed to the North Carolina Board of Transportation. In 2013 he was the TIME Dealer of the Year Award winner for North Carolina and national winner.


EDIE WINES (NADA 20 Group Dealership Management Consultant)

Edie Wines brings 30-plus years of retail auto-industry experience to NADA. Throughout her career, she has been involved in all aspects of the retail automotive industry including the time as a professional services consultant for CDK Global. Additionally, she was selected for General Motors Women’s Retail Initiative in 2001 and has completed the General Motors Minority Dealer program. Wines is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified F&I Professional through the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals.

Leonard Bellavia is a Senior Partner at the law firm Bellavia Blatt, PC and nationally recognized authority in the field of automotive franchise law. Leonard has achieved national recognition for advocating the mass action litigation model on behalf of franchised automobile dealers and has implemented this strategy in several notable cases. He currently serves as an outside counsel to NYSADA. 


Hermes Fernandez is a partner of the 230 attorney law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC where he has practiced law for over 25 years. For the last 20 years Hermes has represented NYSADA before the State Government and represented dealers in administrative matters before the DMV, lemon law arbitrations, audit matters and in government investigations. 


Louis Young is the director of Retail Automotive Client Services with Withum. He manages business practice issues, regulatory oversight issues and state tax compliance. He also provides assistance with business brokering and business development. Lou assists NYSADA with state regulatory oversight issues, including general compliance, consumer affairs and sales tax issues.
