GETTING THERE

Travel to Aruba from US is possible via most major carriers. Queen Beatrix International Airport, Aruba has been recently renovated for a completely relaxed travel experience.

Aruba provides US customs clearance for all passengers departing to the US. It’s new innovative passenger process “One Happy Flow” allows passengers to show his or her passport once throughout the journey at the airport. The use of facial recognition then allows the passenger to proceed to check-in, drop off baggage, pass the border and board the aircraft, all without being asked to show a passport or boarding pass again.

CONVENTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES 2023 EVENT SPEAKERS

The NYSADA Convention Committee is pleased to announce the following dynamic and high-profile speakers will be joining us for our 100th Annual Convention and Business Meeting Celebration at the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton Aruba Resort. Join us this November in Aruba for what will prove to be an educational yet exhilarating experience for the whole family!

Stephen Rowley
(President of Cox Automotive)

Stephen Rowley is President of Cox Automotive, a global automotive services and software company whose vision is to transform the way the world buys, sells, owns and uses cars. Rowley is responsible for a family of brands that together make car dealers more successful and car buyers more satisfied, including auto industry leaders such as Autotrader, Dealer.com, Dealertrack, Kelley Blue Book, Manheim, NextGear Capital, vAuto and Xtime.

Rowley previously served as the Executive Vice President of Cox Business. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction of the high-growth division that delivered more than $2 billion in annual revenue. He oversaw all sales, operations, product development and marketing for business customers, including wholesale services for telecom carriers. Prior to leading Cox Business, Rowley was the Vice President of sales and field operations for Cox Business’ western U.S. markets where he served as the chief liaison between corporate headquarters and the western markets with oversight on local strategic planning, sales performance, marketing, back office, customer installations and capital investment.

Prior to joining Cox Business, Rowley was Vice President of Alliances and Partners at Sprint, where he managed relationships with more than 500 partners, generating $250 million in annual revenue. In addition, Rowley was responsible for the strategic direction of the Telemetry group where he negotiated and managed contracts with Dell, Sony, HP and others.

 

Michael Colleran
(Corporate Vice President, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and Senior Vice President, U.S. Marketing and Sales)

Mike Colleran is corporate vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. He is also senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales, holding responsibility for all sales and marketing activities for the Nissan Division in the U.S. Additionally, responsibility for the INFINITI brand was added to Colleran’s role in April 2022.

Previously, Colleran was chairman of INFINITI Motor Company, based at their global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. He was responsible for managing the brand, business operations and all marketing and sales for INFINITI globally. Prior to that, Colleran was group vice president of INFINITI Americas, overseeing INFINITI's overall performance in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and leading the brand's strategic direction, planning, retail and marketing efforts.

Colleran joined Nissan Motor Corporation in 2011 as vice president, Sales, for Nissan Canada, and was responsible for Nissan's dealer network operations across Canada. He subsequently worked as regional vice president of the North East U.S. and was responsible for regional sales and marketing, incentive spending, distribution, dealer network development, financial controls, and dealer and customer satisfaction.

 

Gary Gilchrist (2024 NADA Chairman)

Gary Gilchrist is president of Gilchrist Chevrolet Buick GMC, Inc. in Tacoma, Wash. He started in the automotive business in 1977 selling cars in Tacoma after graduating from college. Gilchrist is 2023 vice chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and represents Washington's franchised new-car dealers on the board of directors.

 

Richard Parrish
(NADA 20 Group Dealership Management Consultant)

Dick Parrish joined NADA in 1999 and brings 45-plus years of auto-industry experience. As a dealer principal and president of a Volvo-Volkswagen dealership, Parrish was a charter member of a NADA 20 Group for 22 years. He also served on Volvo's dealer advisory council, NADA's industry relations committee and with the Jacksonville Automobile Dealers Association, including as president. His expertise is in dealership operations.

 

Ted Ma
(Leadership Strategist)

Ted Ma is a leadership strategist, author, and international keynote speaker who works with leaders to become great mentors and create a culture that people never want to leave. As an elder millennial, he has coached leaders for over 20 years. Unlike many leadership experts, Ted built and led an international sales team of over 6,000 independent agents. His work has been featured in publications including USA Today, Inc, CNBC, and the New York Times. When he’s not traveling the world speaking, you may find him rappelling down waterfalls, trying to keep up with his 2-year-old son, or ordering complicated coffee drinks.
